Alicia Witt was a musician right from the beginning of her screen career although she's more known as an actor, singer, songwriter or pianist. Her debut album in 2009, which was released shortly after she had mostly performed as a pianist, revealed how much she owes Elton John. Her first studio album that was produced by Ben Folds, Revisionary History, appeared in 2015. The Conduit, her debut album with co-producers in 2021 is followed in 2021 by the album Revisionary History. Alicia Witt made her first appearance onscreen as Alia Atreides, in David Lynch's 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune. It is no surprise that she was playing the piano before she started acting, is the reason she got pigeonholed during her early years as an actor. While she appeared on screen more than she was on stage, her professional career as a musician didn't start until the year 1995.
